Teaching machine · value-chain seams
An intelligence pipeline fails at the joins, not inside the stages. Walk one record through five excellent stages, twice, and watch the same record arrive as two different truths.
Controls
Every stage below is excellent. Walk one record through the chain and watch what the handoffs do to it anyway.

The side-by-side decision card
One source record, and two versions of what the decision-maker is told. Only one of them earns the warrant.

What this shows. This is the end-to-end argument, made for intelligence: correctness has to be enforced across the whole path, not assumed inside each stage. Caveats, confidence and provenance either travel as structured metadata, or they die at a seam and the chain manufactures certainty.
All data is synthetic and the walk-through is illustrative. This is a teaching model of a generic pattern, not a description of how any live system works.
