Whoever turns that dial is allocating analyst attention and accepting the risk of the report nobody read, and from 10 December 2026 that becomes a decision Australian entities may have to explain (*Privacy and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2024* (Cth)). Triage is a policy decision wearing an engineering costume, and someone accountable has to own it.
